A message from the Headteacher, Ms Alice Ward

果冻传媒appSchool for Girls is a high achieving, over-subscribed and successful girls鈥 comprehensive school for pupils aged 11 to 18.

It is a place where girls鈥 talents and abilities are nurtured in a safe creative space and where they can develop their ambitions and the power for self-determination. Our aim is that all pupils should leave the school as highly qualified, confident and articulate young women with a wealth of experience in the wider world. Outstanding academic achievement is very important for future success, as is the need to develop 鈥楥onfidence, Creativity, Leadership鈥 and a life-long 鈥楲ove of Learning鈥. We believe these things will enable our pupils to lead enriched, happy and fulfilled lives, making a contribution to their own community, to British society and to global well-being.

It is such a joy for me to visit this phenomenal school. For all of the brilliant, bold and beautiful young women here 鈥 I can鈥檛 wait to see all that you will achieve in the future.鈥

Clifford Chance mentoring

Since April, lawyers at Clifford Chance 鈥 one of the world鈥檚 largest law firms 鈥 have been working with some of our students to help them plan their futures. This mentoring programme enables Clifford Chance employees to volunteer to work with students to guide them in planning their next steps. Sessions can cover how to approach revision, what to study or pursue in the future, and how to find opportunities for work experience.

Raising thousands through Philanthropy Thursdays

This term, students have been involved in Philanthropy Thursdays, raising money for Doctors without Borders (M茅decins Sans Fronti猫res) in response to the crisis in the Middle East. Students have organised and run sports tournaments, a talent showcase, a funfair and several bake sales. We were excited when parents/carers and families joined in with their very own fundraiser, and are thrilled we raised a total of 拢3,028.58.
